PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM

VIPA provides support service to help individuals recognise and deal with stress, so that they, and their families, can once again achieve a fulfilling and balanced life.

PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM

Maintaining good mental health is vital for optimising performance as a pilot. To respond to the needs of our members we have the AFAP-exclusive Member Assistance Program (MAP) as part of our suite of health and wellbeing benefits that make up our welfare portfolio.

It is an industry-wide effort in which trained peer volunteers work together with the oversight of qualified mental health professionals with the aim to: help the wellbeing of industry personnel, preserve careers and enhance aviation safety
