PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM
VIPA provides support service to help individuals recognise and deal with stress, so that they, and their families, can once again achieve a fulfilling and balanced life.

Maintaining good mental health is vital for optimising performance as a pilot. To respond to the needs of our members we have the AFAP-exclusive Member Assistance Program (MAP) as part of our suite of health and wellbeing benefits that make up our welfare portfolio.
PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM
PAN NZ is a programme which provides confidential peer-based support and assistance to Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers (ATCO) and Airways limited Flight Service Operators (FSO). It is an industry-wide effort in which trained peer volunteers work together with the oversight of qualified mental health professionals with the aim to: help the wellbeing of industry personnel, preserve careers and enhance aviation safety
SUBSTANCE ABUSE
HIMS is a program for members of the aviation community, aimed at helping anyone whose use of alcohol or other drugs is of concern
